Gabby Mayo is an accomplished track and field athlete turned entrepreneur and fashion designer, whose journey is defined by resilience, talent, and a passion for excellence. With 18 years of dedication to track and field, Gabby began her athletic journey at the tender age of seven, committing to intense training sessions—twice a day for a decade. This unwavering work ethic laid the groundwork for her success, ultimately leading to a high school graduation marked by a stellar 3.5 GPA and a four-year, all-expenses-paid athletic scholarship to Texas A&M University.

Throughout her illustrious athletic career, Gabby achieved numerous milestones that highlight her dominance in track and field. While in High school she famously broke Marion Jones' record in the 200m, solidifying her status as a formidable competitor in North Carolina high school track. With an impressive tally of 15 state championships and seven track and field records, Gabby's talent was evident from a young age.

On the international stage, Gabby’s accolades continued to grow, as she captured World Junior medals in both the 4x100m relay and the 100m in 2006. Her college career at Texas A&M was nothing short of spectacular; she became a three-time NCAA champion and was honored as the Big 12 Conference MVP in both 2009 and 2010. Her success in collegiate athletics included seven Big 12 championships and the establishment of five school records, marking her as one of the university's standout athletes.

Recognition of Gabby’s contributions to sports extends beyond mere accolades. She was inducted into the Texas A&M Hall of Fame in 2021 and the North Carolina Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2022. Ranking as the number one high school female track and field athlete in the world in 2006, Gabby was also the recipient of the

prestigious USA Track and Field Youth Athlete of the Year award for two

consecutive years, highlighting her impact on the sport.

Yet, Gabby’s influence reaches far beyond the track. In honor of her

extraordinary achievements and community contributions, Mayor

Meeker proclaimed November 7th as “Gabby Mayo Day”.

Additionally, she was honored with the title of Gatorade Athlete of

the Year in 2006 and 2007, cementing her legacy as an inspiring

figure for aspiring athletes everywhere.
